I picked up my new Mathews Phase 4 29" on Monday. I went into my local shop and shot the Phase 4 29/33 and the VTM 31. The draw cycle seemed a touch better on the VTM but the back wall and hold felt incredible on the Phase 4's. I bumped up from 60# to 70# so I didn't hold the draw cycle of the Mathews against it.I shot a number of bows and narrowed it down to 3: Hoyt RX-7 Ultra, Bowtech SS34 and Mathews V3X 33. I'd be happy taking anyone of them home. They way I ranked them were: Speed (30.5" draw, 70 lbs, 450 grain arrow): V3X 33, RX-7 Ultra, SS34. Cost (with sales): V3X 33 ($950), SS34 ($1300), RX-7 Ultra ($1400)Honestly gotta shoot them both one will just feel better to you.
