From the outset the magazine release could not be pressed in order to release the magazine, no matter how hard it was pressed. I called Glock in Smyrna and talked to one of their technicians. Cause. The stiffness of the magazine release button in the Glock 20 Gen 4 is commonly caused by the accumulation of dirt and grime within the release mechanism. It does not malfunction with a full magazine or with 5 rounds. I have tried multiple ammo types, new and old mags, mags with 20%+ mag spring, different recoil spring weights and it still occurs.

I carry my G21 with a round in the chamber and a full magazine. At the end of the day I unload the firearm, squeeze the trigger to dryfire it, and load the magazine in before going to bed (chamber is now empty). When I wake up to carry I rack the slide to load a round and insert it in the holster.Oct 18, 2015 · Jim. I just found out that apparently it's a common problem on them. I'm sad because I wanted it to replace my 43 as my edc but it is what it is.

You may also look for burrs on the connector and wear on the little "reset ramp" on the right side of the slide. It's unlikely your connector is too stiff, but if that little ramp isn't interacting with the connector properly it could cause your problems. Have an upvote for the p365 dig.
