I did hear the solenoid clicking. The door was open and the dome light was on. When I turned the key to start the dome light did not flicker or dim in any way. Also, when the key was on, the battery voltage read about 12. When I turned the key to start, the gauge dropped down to 0 and stayed there until I released the key back to ON.
