It seems to be RPM dependent, and it occurs in any gear (park, reverse, drive, neutral). It sounds like the "CVT whine," albeit a bit quieter, but since it also occurs in neutral, I'm not sure. Any ideas?1) drop the pan, clean and replace the filter and magnet, trans parts. 2) refill the trans with the factory subaru fluid. 3) replace both front and rear diff fluids (use the factory subaru gear oil) I know servicing these types (pump in fluid, set fluid level at certain temps, etc..) of gearboxes is not a fun task.

Honda failed to tell you why they extended the warranty on the engine. It's becasue the oil is diluted with gasoline and your engine is failing. They need to replace the camshafts in the engine.
