Toyota rav4 not starting no crank.

I am a little stuck here. I have a no crank no start. This is a 2014 Toyota Rav 4 LE. It has a mechanical key (not push button start). I am curious if it is normal for the wires to the ignition switch to be butt spliced. I will put a picture if the forum allows me to. It is almost like a security system has been installed.No spark. Why dont you try a few tests: Test 1. Turn the engine off, remove gas cap, replace gas cap. Turn engine on, note what happens. Test 2. Next time you go to the gas station, don't fill up all the way, fill to up to 75% or so, turn engine on, what happens>. Test 3. Fill up 100% and start car, note what happens.pull the key back out of the key fob while the battery is also disconnected. Jan 3, 2023 · Recently, lifting and lowering the pump allowed the engine to run. To me these symptoms point to rust in the fuel tank being a leading candidate for the cause of the problem here. The rust may have fouled your new fuel pump and/or regulator as well. There's another fuel filter in the tank that should probably be replaced.
